On Her Way…

Meet Lauren.

She’s on her way to GREATNESS and SUCCESS! This American-Idol semi-finalist has landed a HUGE opportunity to record a demo cd for a very well-known recording studio and wanted some “edgy” photos with an urban feel to send in with her demo.

Lauren is sure to meet with huge success—she’s determined, confident, beautiful and talented!

Sara Williams did Lauren’s make-up—fabulous as always!

GO LAUREN!!!!!

JONATHAN…portrait of a young pianist.

This young man is talented and very photogenic. He’s a freshman now…and these are photos to document the transition from junior high to high school. Mom wanted a “formal” portrait with a tux and the piano…but she let me put my spin on it and this is what we came up with.

If you look close, you’ll see that I’m posting a photo of myself too…LOL…look close…it’s all in the eyes.

As I drove up to Jonathan’s home, I noticed an AWESOME field/marsh next to his home…and you just KNOW where I was headed after the formal portraits with Jonathan and his sister Jasmine!

HALEY Class of ‘09

A sneak-peek for Haley and her friends and family!

This 2009 graduate is getting ready to take the world by storm—she graduates in a few short months! Sara Williams did her fabulous make-up for her senior portraits, plus the various hair styles from straight to curly to a chic up-do! Sara always has something fun and different  to use for our seniors to make their session truly unique and stylized—this time she had a fun peacock feather to add for a varied look that was a perfect match for one of Haley’s outfits.

It’s fun to see the completely different looks we were able to achieve with Haley using different hair styles and style-changes! We had a great morning—the weather was PERFECT (I love this time of year) and Haley was another awesome senior that was “up for anything” in the quest for unique and custom senior portraits!

So here she is…meet HALEY:

ALEA, 2009

Another 2009 Grad to share!

Alea was SO fun…she was up for anything…even laying on dusty, dirty benches, filthy-dirty rail-road tracks, and leaning up against dirty builings. I love it when girls are willing to get a little dirty to get “the shot”…and Alea was a great sport all in the name of SENIOR PORTRAITS!!! :)

We had a great time walking around a quaint little area of Sacramento…mom and brother in tow. It was great getting to know Alea and her family…here’s a sneak peek just for them:

Meet ALEA:

SIGNS OF FALL…

Every year we go to APPLE HILL and it’s the official start to the FALL season in our family. It’s a morning filled with apple-everything…apple donuts, caramel apples, apple this and apple that. We come home every year with several pounds of apples…and a full tummy.

Here are some photos from our weekend…including the annual “scare-crow” photo that has been a tradition since “way back when”…

TORI ‘09

Another 2009 graduate to share…and yes, another GORGEOUS 2009 graduate with beautiful eyes. I don’t think I could possibly capture a bad photo of Tori…she has the biggest smile!

This was a fun afternoon…we strolled along the quaint streets, and of course great-lighting trumps location every time so we were chasing the great light to capture some memorable senior portriats for Tori.

I know she’ll take the world by storm as she graduates from high school soon. Meet TORI:

Fauna ‘09

Sharing a few from Fauna’s senior session…she included her adorable dog GIGI who was a great sport considering that it was a VERY WINDY day!

When I say that it was a windy day, I mean WINDY! But we used it to our advantage and in most shots you can’t even tell it was overly-windy because we used the buildings and cover as a block.

Fauna has a great sense of style and chose some great clothes for her session. Meet FAUNA:

ASHLEE ‘09

A sneak-peek for ASHLEE! This was a fun day—Ashlee loves bright colors and has a style all her own that we really tried to portray.  She has the most gorgeous eyes!

Ashlee has a strong interest in photography and plans on moving to LA to pursue her passion together with hair styling—2 artisitc areas that can blend well together and be a great career for her!

I can’t wait to share the rest of her photo session with her…meet ASHLEE:

Jackie 2009

The second I met Jackie I knew she would photograph well…I saw her at a high school concert and even from accross the room I could tell she had a “look”. The intensity of her eyes pulls you in. You’ve heard it said that the eyes are the window to the soul and they are the part I love to concentrate on with the camera.

Jackie has a “cover-girl” look that mezmerizes you…and to top it all off she has a beautiful heart and carefree personality. I had a great time with her on this particular afternoon in a fun little area of Sacramento. The sun was setting near the end of our session and it made for some great lighting.

Meet Jackie…

Meet Amber…

Another 2009 Senior!

Amber is SO photogenic and we had a fun afternoon shooting her senior session! Last year we did senior photos for her friend Jessica—and she came along on Amber’s session. So we all had a great time!

Amber is looking to enter into the medical field after graduation—she’s ambitious, determined, and knows where she’s going in life! I was inspired being around her!

Meet Amber…

ALEXIS: part II

Remember Alexis, from a few posts ago? One of our 2009 Seniors?

Well, here is PART DEUX. Her beautiful sisters. Mom wanted a family portrait

of the three of them—so while we were at it, we added a “siblings portrait”…or two.

I love these girls! They were so fun and up for anything.

Here’s one to show the time of day we were shooting in—golden sunset time.

Love the sun glare. Yummy.
